I have been criticised for being THERE for my adult children but how can one enjoy one's life if a child is not doing so well? You just can't!! Of course they do things you feel are perhaps not quite right (I know I did) but they are all individuals doing their own thing and, after all, variety is the spice of life so you wouldn't have all your children turn out the same would you? Boring!!! You will probably often hear secondhand of happenings in the family but be thankful that you do hear about them.
