Sunday Selections ... Pelicans

So here we are just like she promised ... the Pelicans

Sunday Selections was originally brought to us by Kim or Frogspondsrock, as an ongoing meme where participants could post previously unused photos languishing in their files.

The meme is now continued by River at Drifting through Life. The rules are so simple as to be almost non-existent. Post some photos under the title Sunday Selections and link back to River.

This week I bring you the Pelicans of Monkey Mia Resort in Denham (Shark Bay) Western Australia.  I was on a work trip and part of the daily routine at Monkey Mia is dolphin feeding. The local pelicans have cottoned on and were harassing the dolphins, so to avoid that happening they now get feed up the beach at the same time. Now I am not happy with either species being feed as they are wild animals, but I have to admit the antics of the pelicans I love.

Thanks for popping by, and next Sunday ... well maybe more pelicans if I can find my old 'non-digital' photos and scan them. After all, you can't have too many pelicans, can you??

  5. Love those pelicans....they also feed them up at Kalbarri each day. It's been passed from one person to another over the years. We were amazed at how many birds took advantage of the free feed. We could watch them for hours. Thanks for sharing yours with us. xx

    1. Yes I remember the Kalbarri pelicans being feed, think they probably still do it even now all these years later.
