Sunday Selections - Textures and Colours in Nature ... Bark

Sunday Selections was originally brought to us by Kim or Frogspondsrock, as an ongoing meme where participants could post previously unused photos languishing in their files.

The meme is now continued by River at Drifting through Life. The rules are so simple as to be almost non-existent. Post some photos under the title Sunday Selections and link back to River.

Here is the second series in my theme Textures and Colours in Nature.  This one is entitled Bark. I don't know if anyone else out there is as fascinated by the textures found in bark as I seem to be, but I have so many photos of bark that I have taken over the years that it is a little worrisome. Could I be obsessed?

So without further ado, here are just a few.

I have so many more, but lucky for everyone they are not digital. Although there are some of some paperbark trees I took that I love, so I just might have to scan those and share one day.

So this Sunday I'm joining in for the first time in a long time. Thanks River for keeping Sunday Selections going, I always enjoy seeing the photos people share.

So I decided to run with a theme and have already got the next few weeks sorted so that it is an ongoing theme ... Textures and Colours in Nature

A Birthday Dawns So Far Away

There is a girl

Lives over the waves

Have a wonderful day K, we miss you so much and feel blessed that you have become part of our family. Thank you for all you bring to our youngest daughter's life, and indeed to our lives too.

If I could have my way I would wish you here so that all the family could meet the beautiful soul that you are.

There is much more I want to say, but I know that you would hate that, so this little poem is meant for you from the bottom of my heart.
