Sunday Selections ... Textures and Colours in Nature ... Lichens and Moss

Sunday Selections was originally brought to us by Kim or Frogspondsrock, as an ongoing meme where participants could post previously unused photos languishing in their files.

The meme is now continued by River at Drifting through Life. The rules are so simple as to be almost non-existent. Post some photos under the title Sunday Selections and link back to River.

This week I bring you lichens and moss ... I love the textures and colours so much that I'm sharing some photos I've shared before, please forgive me, but look ... isn't it just beautiful.

(Photos from Western Australia and Sitka, Alaska).

Enjoy ....

  4. Wow, these are just beautiful. And they all have such great use of focus. I wish I could take photos like these!
In school I learned that lichen comes from algae and fungus, because Alice Algae and Freddy Fungus took a likin' to each other :)

    1. Thanks Jackie, I love the Alice Algae and Freddy Fungus analogy, what a great way to remember. I can't take all the credit for the focus, digital SLR helps, but I suppose I am responsible for the composition. Thanks for popping by xxx
