Its the Small Things

As mentioned many times previously, I have a Charles Brunner climbing rose right outside my study window. On Sunday I looked out, daydreaming while doing some work and this little haloed flower caught my eye.

Soft pink bud, caught in the sunlight, softly glowing - just beautiful. The leaves and branches of the rose, softly swaying in the light breeze, the bright blue sky, the backdrop to all that is refreshing, soothing and lovely. A lovely winter's day.

What do you see out your window?

  1. Well I certainly don't see anything as beautiful as your roses, that's for sure. Mostly sky and the top part of the neighbours house.

  2. Your rose is very pretty. I to have a climbing rose out side my kitchen window to look at while washing the dishes.

  3. That is truly beautiful. Out of lounge window we see the birds. Last time I looked there were a pair of cockatoos having breakfast. A little before that it was a family of currawongs dive bombing Jewel.
And you are so right - it is the little things. Thanks for reminding me.

  4. I love roses. We have a few lovely bushes in our front garden. My MIL is a member of a rose society so gives us tips (or looks and tells us we should have pruned weeks ago).
